Roger Woods brings to theWord a wealth of experience across the entire spectrum of corporate and marketing communications.
A trained journalist, he has worked in client companies and as a consultant, advising a wide range of businesses, usually at CEO and Boardroom level.
Most recently, Roger has been based at Philips headquarters in Amsterdam. He directed communications for Europe, Middle East and Africa, with responsibility for strategic planning, budgeting and project co-ordination as well as the network of staff across many countries.
Working with a very broad remit, Roger was also critically involved in a huge variety of projects. These included global reputation studies, issues management and senior executive stakeholder engagement. He made major inputs to the content for company strategy communications and advised Global and Brand Marketing leaders on brand-related communications. Additionally, he managed the process for recruiting and controlling global PR agencies.
Roger is particularly adept at grasping the key commercial issues that lie at the heart of a communications challenge and translating them into powerful and effective programmes that deliver real, measurable benefit. |
