The Challenge (Philips Quality & Business Excellence): Explain the simplification of a hitherto-complex process to the top 5,000 managers

The underlying business issue: This process has been seen as onerous and invasive albeit important and we need to engage senior management and secure its support for important changes

The Project: We started by getting to grips with the process and the changes in sufficient detail to understand it without drowning in detail. To balance this essentially tactical level, a strategic overview came from interviewing the top two tiers of global management. In order to stand out from the flood of communications that the target audience was used to receiving, a simple, easy-to-navigate communication that facilitated multi-level entry was created. The brochure adopted a striking visual theme that complemented an easy narrative style to optimise message out-take.
